About Sriharikota Range Indian Space Research Organization (SHAR ISRO):
Sriharikota Range (SHAR) is a rocket launch centre operated by the ISRO. It is located in Sriharikota on the east coast of Andhra Pradesh. Sriharikota Range was renamed to Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in 2002 after ISRO’s former chairman Satish Dhawan. SDSC’s current director is Arumugam Rajarajan. He took over in July 2019. This centre has 2 operation orbital launch pads.
